ECS offers Keyboard Video
Mouse (KVM) switches that enable a single keyboard, monitor
and mouse to access multiple PCs. ECS can provide KVM switches
that support combinations of PS/2 and USB PCs, as well as
share USB devices and speakers and a microphone between PCs.
ECS even has DVI switches that allow for access to multiple
DVI computers and can connect a USB keyboard, mouse and DVI
monitor.

| Today's government
agencies face a serious challenge when it comes to ensuring
the security of data at various classification levels. With
restricted data residing on separate computers, accessing that
data can be a major task. Even though you may have clearance
to access data at multiple classification levels, you still
must keep the data separate. Plus, switching among two or more
computers at different classification levels introduces vulnerabilities
to security as well as inefficiencies in productivity.
That
is why ECS sells and supports the Avocent NIAP-certified
Avocent SwitchView SC KVM switching systems that are field-proven
and secure for government agencies. Avocent's
SwitchView SC KVM solutions allow you to switch safely
between computers operating at different classification levels
from a single switch, providing continuous access to critical
data. With separate I/O processors and 60db separation between
channels, the Avocent
SwitchView SC switch design makes it impossible to transfer
data between the connected computers, ensuring data security
isn't compromised.
Avocent's
SwitchView SC KVM switch products are National Information
Assurance Partnership (NIAP) Common Criteria validated to
EAL 4+ augmented with ALC_FLR.2, meeting the strict security
compliance standards set by the government. NIAP is a collaboration
of the National Institute of Standards and Technology and
the National Security Agency. It oversees information technology
security standards called Common Criteria - the essence of
NIAP testing.

| In many real-time
desktop computing markets including Test Labs, Computer Designer
Centers, Financial Traders and Command & Control Centers,
users often need to access all their different computing resources
from the desk, across a standard IP network without the need
for a desktop computer while retaining a high quality user experience.
In an ideal solution
the desktop administrator would have one solution that is
acceptable to all different types of desktop users including
the desktop PC users and high end workstation users, while
giving all the benefits of a back racked model.
To achieve this ECS can
replace each desktop computer with a zero client and consolidate
all of the computing resources into a back room environment.
The solution would then allow the desktop administrator to
provision any type of computing resource to any desk based
on user login and admin profiles. This would allow any user
to login at any desk and get access to the computer that is
available to them in the back room.
